Summary of the story of JOHN BUNYAN

Hello! Guys, let start my blog again. Today I read the story of JOHN BUNYAN  who was a believer in Jesus Christ... So I would like to share about his life.... 

John Bunyan was born in England, in November 1628 . His parents were not christians. He early life was known for cheating, lying and showing disrespect to elders.He had a miserable life and there was no peace in his heart. At the age of 16, he joined military service and had served the army for two years. One day he was commissioned by the government to go to the Scottish border to fight in the war. While he was getting ready to go to the war front, the government choose another person in his place. . .. 

On the very first day of the war, the person, who was chosen and send in his place, got killed. This almost certain death was the question that confronted him. So he decided to lead a good life. 

At the age of 19, he married a woman who was a good believer in Christ. He started going to church and began to give up his bad habits. One day, while he went on his business, he saw three women who were telling people about Christ. He went back home and began to read the bible eagerly. One day he became very sick, but he read a book by Martin Luther. After a few days, he accepted Jesus Christ and his wife died shortly after his conversion. 

So, he committed his life totally and came forward to do his best for the Lord. He told his clients about Christ. Many accepted Christ through him. During this time, there was a law which prohibited persons other than pastor. He knew about this well. However, he wanted to be obedient to the last command of the Lord Jesus Christ. He thought, obeying Christ was more important than obeying the law of the land. One day, he was caught by the police and presented him before a magistrate. At first, he was sentenced to three months imprisonment. But he said, he would preach the Gospel the very next day of his release. So, his imprisonment was extended to 12 years. He wrote "The Pilgrim's Progress " while he was in prision. He served Christ for 16 years in Baptist Church. On the 13 august 1688 he died as a result at the age of 59.
